Jarallah urged the Arab community to make peace with Israel and for Arab leaders to stop exploiting the Palestinian people as a political pawn in an editorial that was hailed as “breaking long-held taboos” in 2004. Jarallah urged Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, to begin unconditional discussions with Israel in 2010.

Al-Jarallah accused Iran of instigating a Shiite revolution in the Gulf area and of “trying to push Gulf nations to the brink of war through escalating disputes and using bullying tactics” in an interview with Al Arabiya News Channel in April 2011.

On April 23, 1985, Jerallah was Subjected to an assassination attempt when someone opened fire outside his office, he was shot six times and was rushed to the hospital by his driver.
