She had initially disputed her collaboration with Cambridge Analytica but claimed that SCL had subcontracted her work to them.
She was a member of the delegation for ties with South Africa, and Phillip was a member of the Committee on Development. On August 2, 2019, Phillip was chosen as the Bretix Party’s prospective parliament candidate (PPC) for Southampton Itchen. Additionally, Bretix Part declared that it would not run for any seats now held by Conservatives in the general election in 2019.
Phillips announced the next day that she would not be casting a ballot in the general election because her party had denied her the right to vote. She also later appeared as a contributor to The Daily Telegraph on the talkRADIO radio program. She made the announcement that she would be joining GB News in 2021. Later, she declared that she would be working with former BBC News reporter Simon McCoy.
