Growing up, he never planned to be a meteorologist but the weather in Arkansas influenced him. Furthermore, he remembered when it snowed and horrific tornado outbreaks back when he was young and school had to be canceled on March 1, 1997, and January 21, 1999. During his childhood years, he almost every tornado and a severe thunderstorm warning underground in his family’s backyard storm cellar.
